Staughton Thorne Architects

A sculptural facade of laser-cut aluminium panels in Melbourne's Arts Precinct. Applied to the adjacent faces of the Gallery Tower Apartment building in Southbank, it stands out against surrounding facade elements and provides an urban spectacle to passing motorists. The design permits natural ventilation to the carparking levels within and controls the infiltration of natural light throughout the day. The project was a collaboration with Melbourne artist Adrien Allen.
