Staughton Thorne Architects

A competition-winning proposal for the City of Hume designed to stimulate development of a new civic heart within the existing town centre. Strategies include elevated spill-parking above Pascoe Vale Road, student housing, and a self-storage facility adjacent the rail line. Retail movements are integrated through a variety of pedestrian links and the implementation of overhead parade-lighting connecting the proposal with Broadmeadows Railway Station and the existing Performing Arts Centre.
