Staughton Thorne Architects

An expansion of a narrow victorian row house to increase the residential capacity of the site without significant detriment to neighbouring properties. The two-storeyed form is sculpted to reduce overshadowing on adjoining garden areas and spatially conceived to maximize engagement with the confines of the site. Roof mounted solar panels double as shade awnings to express the synergy of solar collection with solar protection.
