Staughton Thorne Architects

A new annexe with a roof form that engages with its immediate context. The project is a response to the client's desire for it to appear independent while referencing aspects of the building from which it extends. Containing new kitchen, living, dining and wet areas, the arrangement effectively reverses the house's spatial organisation while improving connections to the rear garden and adjacent rooms within the existing fabric. The colour scheme is designed to resonate with the red-bronze hues of original clinker brickwork.
